MBABANE – Eswatini is set to host an extraordinary gathering of regional leadership, with over six Presidents and a reigning King confirmed to attend the historic 40 years on the throne and 58th Birthday celebrations of His Majesty King Mswati III.
The high-profile event, scheduled for April 24, 2026, marks a significant national milestone, celebrating four decades of leadership and unity under His Majesty’s reign.
Among the distinguished guests expected to jet into the Kingdom are His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, alongside Presidents Duma Boko of Botswana, Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia, and Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe.
Adding to the continental prestige, former Democratic Republic of Congo President Joseph Kabila is also expected to attend, further highlighting the importance of the occasion.
According to the official programme, most of the leaders will arrive between April 23 and April 25 aboard presidential and chartered flights, accompanied by high-level delegations.
The presence of such a strong lineup of African leadership underscores Eswatini’s growing diplomatic influence and the respect commanded by His Majesty across the region.
The 40/58 celebrations are expected to feature vibrant cultural displays, national ceremonies, and high-level engagements aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and unity.
For Emaswati, the event represents more than a celebration—it is a moment of pride, reflection, and national unity, showcasing the country’s stability, rich cultural heritage, and enduring leadership.
