MBABANE- Residents of Siteki will have an opportunity to access essential health services as the Siteki Town Council rolls out a community health promotion initiative aimed at improving public well-being.
The initiative, scheduled for Friday, 8 May 2026, will take place from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Siteki Old Bus Rank and Ward 4. It is part of ongoing efforts to bring healthcare services closer to the people while encouraging community participation in health matters.
According to the council, the outreach programme is designed to empower residents to take an active role in their health while contributing to the development of a healthier community. The campaign emphasizes prevention, early detection, and access to basic healthcare services.
A range of services will be offered during the event, including HIV testing, distribution of PrEP and condoms, treatment of minor illnesses, and screening for blood sugar and blood pressure. In addition, residents will have access to cervical cancer screening and tuberculosis (TB) screening, which are key in promoting early diagnosis and treatment.
The council has encouraged members of the public to attend in large numbers and take advantage of the free services. The initiative is expected to strengthen community health systems and improve awareness around key health issues affecting residents.
Through programmes like this, the Siteki Town Council continues to position itself as a key player in promoting accessible healthcare and fostering a healthier, more informed community.
