MBABANE– Acclaimed gospel artist and motivational speaker Buhle Thela has been officially unveiled as one of the headline acts for the Break Your Shell Eswatini Mother’s Day 9th Edition, set to take place on 23 and 26 May 2026 at Sibayeni Lodge Esangweni Hall.
The announcement, made by event founder Pastor Phiwayinkhosi Mabuza, has already generated excitement, positioning Thela as a central voice in what promises to be a powerful and transformative gathering. Held under the theme “Footprints of a Black Woman”, the event celebrates strength, identity, and purpose through a fusion of music, motivation, and cultural storytelling.
Buhle Thela is widely recognised as more than a performer. A recording artist, pastor, vocal coach, motivational speaker, and founder of the Worship Academy, her work is rooted in empowering singers and worship teams to cultivate authenticity while deepening their spiritual grounding. Her commanding stage presence and heartfelt delivery have allowed her to connect meaningfully with audiences across diverse platforms.
Her inclusion in the lineup reinforces the event’s mission of honouring women’s influence and legacy. Organisers have curated a dynamic programme featuring voices that embody leadership and excellence, with Thela expected to deliver not just music, but a spiritually enriching experience.
Importantly, accessibility has been broadened for attendees. Those unable to attend the first session at 12 noon will have an opportunity to experience Thela during a second session, a worship experience beginning at 17h00 until late, open to all genders at a reasonable fee.
The evening will also spotlight local talent, with Thela sharing the stage alongside artists such as Nothando Shabangu Dlamini, Banele Dlamini, Nellie Ndawonye, and Zodwa Samboko. The showcase forms part of a live recording by When Women Worship Eswatini, further enriching the event’s musical offering. Tickets for the live recording are available at all Galitos outlets.
