NHLANGANO – In a magnificent display of corporate social responsibility that has touched the hearts of many in the southern panhandle of the Kingdom, Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery has moved to restore the dignity of the Eswatini child. On May 8, 2026, the company successfully rolled out a major philanthropic initiative, donating essential toiletries to 242 pupils across three schools in the Shiselweni Region.
The delegation, led by the company’s Director and supported by a dedicated team of staff, traveled to the rural heartlands to ensure the donations reached the hands of those who need them most. The beneficiary schools included Mlindzini High School, where 148 pupils received care packages, Mbita Primary School with 60 pupils, and Mlindzini Primary School, where 34 pupils were gifted with the essential supplies.
The atmosphere at the schools was one of pure jubilation. Pupils, teachers, and members of the School Committees gathered to witness a gesture that many described as a “godsend.” The donation packages included a comprehensive range of personal hygiene products designed to ensure that no child feels disadvantaged or embarrassed due to a lack of basic necessities.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery Director, Mbongiseni Malinga, delivered a powerful message of hope and commitment. He emphasized that the company, while known for providing academic tools, recognizes that a pupil’s mind can only thrive if their personal well-being is cared for.
“At Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery, we believe that no child should have to miss school or lose focus due to a lack of basic necessities. By providing these toiletries, we are investing in the dignity of our pupils. Our goal is to ensure they stay in class and never miss graduation,” said Malinga.
The Director further explained that this initiative was born out of a realization that many families in rural areas face economic hardships that sometimes force them to prioritize food over hygiene products. “Education is the greatest equalizer, but for it to work, the pupil must be present and confident. We are here to remove the barriers that hinder that confidence,” he added.
The staff from Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery played an active role in the day’s proceedings, personally handing over the items and sharing words of encouragement with the youngsters. The teachers expressed profound gratitude, noting that such interventions are crucial in reducing absenteeism. They observed that many pupils, particularly adolescent girls and boys, often stay away from school when they lack personal care items, which ultimately affects their final grades.

This massive donation is a testament to the company’s “Education First” philosophy. By stepping up to support the Shiselweni community, Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery has set a high standard for local businesses. As the sun set over the hills of Shiselweni on May 8, 242 pupils went home with more than just toiletries—they went home with the knowledge that their community cares for their future.
