MBABANE — Local investment company AlphSZ has pumped n E100 000 towards the 2026 Border 2 Border Cycling Tour scheduled for June 13, 2026, in a major boost aimed at strengthening logistics, improving safety, and supporting the growth of sports tourism in Eswatini.
The announcement was made during the launch of Border to Border Cycling Tour held in Mbabane on, May 20, 2026, where AlphSZ officially confirmed its headline sponsorship of the increasingly popular endurance cycling event.
The funding is expected to enhance key operational areas including route coordination, event logistics, participant safety, and promotional activities as organisers intensify preparations for the June race.
Speaking at the event, AlphSZ CEO and Founder Thandile Nxumalo said the investment reflects the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that drive community development, unity, and wellness through sport.
She said the Border 2 Border Cycling Tour aligns with AlphSZ’s vision of creating impact through connectivity and empowering local platforms that showcase Eswatini’s tourism potential.
“This tour speaks to resilience, movement, and national pride. As AlphSZ, we are proud to invest in an initiative that brings people together while promoting healthy living and tourism,” she said.

Organisers welcomed the E100 000 sponsorship, describing it as a timely intervention that will help elevate the standard of the event and improve the overall experience for participants and supporters. They noted that growing interest in the tour requires stronger logistical and financial backing.
The Border 2 Border Cycling Tour continues to position itself as more than a sporting event, serving as a platform for wellness, adventure, and tourism promotion by showcasing Eswatini’s landscapes through cycling.
With the AlphSZ investment now secured, anticipation is building for the June 13, 2026 edition, which is expected to attract wider participation and further strengthen Eswatini’s reputation as a rising hub for sports tourism.
