EZULWINI– Excitement is building ahead of one of the most anticipated social events of the season as South African music legend DJ Fresh prepares to headline Dumisa’s Birthday Celebration this weekend at The Destination.
The celebration is set to take place on Saturday, 23 May 2026, starting from 12pm until late, promising party lovers a full day and night packed with entertainment, energetic performances and a premium lifestyle experience.
Leading the line-up is Botswana-born DJ Fresh, widely known as “The Big Dawg”, whose influence in African music and radio spans more than three decades. Renowned for dominating South African airwaves through major stations such as YFM, 5FM and Metro FM, the veteran entertainer has built a reputation as one of the pioneers of house music culture in Southern Africa.
DJ Fresh also gained continental recognition through his iconic Fresh House Flava compilation series, which helped popularise deep and soulful house music across the region. Over the years, he has performed at major festivals and shared stages with international stars, cementing his place as one of Africa’s most respected DJs.
The event will also feature Botswana musical collective Shaft People alongside birthday host Dumisa, adding an international flavour to the festivities.
Supporting acts expected to keep the crowd entertained throughout the celebration include Mavava, Cybos, Tibza, Katz, Culoami, Curious Lounger, Mseto, Deenox, Lord F, DJ Mysto Funk, Maps G, Mlindo, Stixx and Simza.
Organisers have structured different ticket categories to cater for guests, with Early Bird tickets selling for E150, General Admission at E200 and VIP Experience tickets priced at E350.
With a star-studded line-up, premium venue and one of Southern Africa’s most celebrated DJs on the decks, Dumisa’s Birthday Celebration is shaping up to be one of the biggest nightlife events on Eswatini’s entertainment calendar.
