MALKERNS– Excitement for the highly anticipated 2026 edition of MTN Bushfire has reached fever pitch after organisers officially announced the festival wristbanding schedule ahead of the three-day celebration taking place from May 29 to 31 at House on Fire in Malkerns.
The internationally acclaimed music and cultural festival confirmed that wristbanding officially began on Tuesday, May 26, as thousands of festivalgoers prepare to descend on one of Africa’s biggest entertainment gatherings. Organisers also revealed that all festival tickets have officially sold out, highlighting the overwhelming demand for this year’s edition.
According to information shared by MTN Bushfire, all Full Festival Golden Lounge, Main Arena and Kids ticket holders are required to collect and fit their wristbands in person before entering the festival grounds.
Festivalgoers in Mbabane can collect their wristbands at the MTN Service Centre located at Corporate Place from May 26 to 29 between 9am and 4pm. However, services on the final day will close earlier at 2pm.
In Manzini, attendees may visit the MTN Service Centre at Manzini Lifestyle Centre during the same dates and operating hours, while those in Ezulwini can collect wristbands at Shaks Cellular situated at The Gables.
Meanwhile, House on Fire in Malkerns will also host wristbanding on May 29 from 10am until 1am, giving festivalgoers an additional opportunity to complete preparations before the festivities begin.
Organisers stressed that wristbands will only be fitted to the actual ticket holder, warning that stand-ins or representatives will not be accepted under any circumstances. Ticket holders have also been encouraged to arrive with their tickets either downloaded or printed to speed up the process.
MTN Bushfire further clarified that camping, trader, artist and media passes will not be issued at the listed wristbanding points. The festival reminded attendees that the wristband serves as access for all three festival days and must remain securely worn at all times, as entry without a valid wristband will not be permitted.
