MBABANE – Young Eswatini technology entrepreneur Sebenele Mabuza has earned continental recognition after being named among the winners of the Africa Forge Challenge 1.0, a major African innovation campaign that celebrates young innovators and changemakers across the continent.
Mabuza, who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Top-Hat Group Inc, was the only winner representing Eswatini in the competition. He described the achievement as a proud moment not only for himself, but also for the country and the growing innovation sector in Africa.
The Africa Forge Challenge was launched to commemorate Africa Day and aims to encourage young Africans to create practical solutions that address challenges facing the continent. The initiative focuses on sectors such as technology, agriculture, humanitarian service and entrepreneurship.
Speaking after the announcement, Mabuza said the recognition reflects the growing potential of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in Eswatini. He added that African-led digital solutions can help empower businesses, entrepreneurs and communities through technology and automation.
Through Top-Hat Group Inc, Mabuza has developed several digital platforms. These include Vuka AI, an all-in-one artificial intelligence platform designed to simplify content creation and business automation. He also created WhatsVuka, an AI-powered WhatsApp marketing and customer relationship management platform, and CampaignHat, an AI-integrated email marketing platform.
Originally from Mankayane, Mabuza started his company while studying at Limkokwing University. What began as a university project later grew into a multi-sector technology company involved in digital innovation, education and creative industries.
Mabuza congratulated fellow winners from across Africa and said the future of the continent will be shaped by innovators, creators and young leaders who are committed to building solutions for African communities.
His achievement has placed Eswatini among countries contributing to digital innovation in Africa and continues to inspire many young emaSwati interested in technology and entrepreneurship.
