MANZINI– Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival has issued a call for Eswatini’s hair and makeup artists to apply for an opportunity to be part of one of the country’s biggest lifestyle events.

In an announcement shared on its social media platforms, the festival invited professional hairstylists and makeup artists to submit five portfolio images together with a short expression of interest before the application deadline of 13 July 2026.

The initiative forms part of Luju Festival’s continued efforts to involve local creative professionals in delivering the festival experience while showcasing Eswatini’s growing beauty and fashion industry.

Selected artists are expected to contribute their skills during the two-day festival, which will be held on 1 and 2 August 2026 at House on Fire under this year’s theme, “Kwasukasukela” (Once Upon A Time).

The call comes as preparations for the annual festival continue to gather momentum. Over the past few weeks, organisers have been encouraging festivalgoers to embrace the storytelling theme through creative fashion while also revealing different experiences that will be available throughout the weekend.

For many local beauty professionals, the opportunity offers more than just event work. It provides a platform to showcase their talent before thousands of local and international visitors, connect with industry professionals, and build their portfolios at one of Eswatini’s most recognised cultural and lifestyle festivals.

Luju Festival has built a reputation for celebrating African food, fashion, music and art while creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and creatives to work alongside established brands and international visitors.

With the application deadline fast approaching, organisers are encouraging interested hairstylists and makeup artists to submit their portfolios before 13 July to be considered for the opportunity.

The festival is expected to once again bring together music lovers, food enthusiasts, fashion lovers and creatives from across the region for a weekend celebrating African culture, creativity and lifestyle.
