MBABANE– As football fever continues to grip the globe, the Municipal Council of Mbabane is giving local entrepreneurs a chance to turn the excitement into profit by inviting businesses to pitch their gazebos at the FIFA World Cup Final Fan Park.
The fan park, which will host a live screening of the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground from 4pm, is expected to attract thousands of football lovers, creating a prime trading environment for businesses of all sizes.
Recognising the commercial potential of the highly anticipated sporting spectacle, the council is calling on corporate companies, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), food vendors and merchandise traders to secure trading spaces and take advantage of the large crowds expected at the event.
The initiative aims to transform the fan park into more than just a football viewing venue by creating a vibrant marketplace where supporters can enjoy food, refreshments, entertainment and shopping while watching the world’s biggest football match.
Corporate exhibitors can reserve a gazebo for E1,000, while SMEs can participate for E500. Food vendors will pay E300, with snack vendors selling items such as popcorn and ice cream required to pay E200. Traders offering football-themed accessories, including scarves and tumblers, will also pay E200, while businesses selling alcoholic beverages can secure space for E500.
According to the Municipal Council of Mbabane, the event presents businesses with an opportunity to showcase their brands, interact directly with customers and generate sales during one of the most anticipated sporting occasions on the global calendar.
As the world prepares to crown a new football champion, Mbabane’s Fan Park is set to become more than a venue for cheering goals—it promises to be a bustling hub where local businesses can score their own winning moments through trade, visibility and customer engagement.
With limited trading spaces available, prospective exhibitors are encouraged to book early to avoid missing out on the opportunity.
Interested businesses can secure their gazebos by contacting the Municipal Council of Mbabane on +268 2409 7000 or 7602 7339, or via email at info@mbabane.org.sz.
