MBABANE – EmaSwati have been called on to continue praying for Their Majesties, with prayer described as key to asking God to grant them wisdom, strength and protection as they lead the nation.
The message was shared by Inkhosatana yaseLangeni Tsembeni Magongo, who is also a Member of Parliament, during the presentation of 20 blankets to Amazing Grace Church in July 26,2026.
The blankets were part of more than 1 000 donated by Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule to communities across the country.
Inkhosatana thanked the church for its prayers and encouraged Christians to remain faithful in praying for Their Majesties and the nation.
“Prayer is what keeps a nation strong, even in times of difficulty. The Bible teaches us to pray for our leaders,” she said.
She quoted 1 Timothy 2:1-2, which says: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
Amazing Grace Church Pastor Khuzulwandle Magongo said the church had a great need for blankets and thanked Their Majesties for the donation.
“His Majesty King Mswati III has a good heart and good plans for the nation. We are grateful for this kind gesture,” he said.
Church members who received the blankets also thanked Their Majesties, saying the donation would help keep them warm during winter.
The message echoes similar calls made by other leaders. Pastor Nkhosingiphile Mkwanazi has previously said it is the duty of Christians to pray for Their Majesties and the nation, citing 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has also asked emaSwati to pray for His Majesty King Mswati III, while Prince Guduza Dlamini has repeatedly encouraged churches to continue praying for Their Majesties, saying such prayers contribute to peace and stability in Eswatini.
The blanket presentation forms part of Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule’s nationwide initiative, through which more than 1 000 blankets have been distributed to churches and vulnerable communities across the country.
