MBABANE – National Commissioner (NATCOM) of Police Vusi Manoma Masango has wished former Royal Leopards FC captain Junior ‘Shisa’ Magagula success as the midfielder prepares to begin a new chapter of his football career in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Masango bid farewell to Magagula during a ceremony held at the Matsapha Police Academy on Tuesday, ahead of the player’s departure after signing a three-year contract with AS Union Maniema.
The National Commissioner congratulated the midfielder on securing the international move, describing it as a proud achievement for both the player and the country. He urged Magagula to remain disciplined and uphold the values of Eswatini while representing the nation abroad.
Masango also encouraged the former Royal Leopards captain to continue being a positive role model, both on and off the pitch, as he takes on the new challenge in Congolese football.
In his farewell remarks, Magagula thanked the National Commissioner for his encouragement and confidence in him, pledging to make Eswatini proud during his stint in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The midfielder also expressed heartfelt appreciation to his former Royal Leopards teammates for their unwavering support throughout his time at the club, where he served as captain.
Magagula said he would always cherish the memories created with the police side and was determined to build on that foundation as he embarks on the next phase of his professional career with AS Union Maniema.
