NEW YORK, USA -Eswatini plans to establish a permanent, dedicated UN headquarters within Eswatini.
This was disclosed by the King at UNGA yesterday. The monarch noted that the partnership between the Kingdom and the United Nations remains vital in advancing sustainable development goals across health, tourism, education and renewable energy sectors.
Providing a dedicated home for UN operations in Eswatini, he said, would solidify long-term diplomatic and developmental cooperation.
Closing his address, the King reminded world leaders that absolute consensus on every political issue is not necessary for progress, urging nations to focus on areas where cooperation is immediately achievable.
“The United Nations must remain a house where every nation, large or small, has a voice and where the sovereignty and dignity of all Member States are fully respected,” His Majesty concluded.

His Majesty the King has warned that this would be realised if access to emerging technology remains unequal.
While acknowledging that digital tools can dramatically expand access to education, healthcare and financial services, the King stressed that technological advancement must be matched by responsible global governance.
He noted that AI technologies are currently advancing faster than international capabilities to regulate them safely.
The King explained that Eswatini is making targeted investments in digital infrastructure, youth training and human capital to ensure its citizens become active contributors to the modern economy.
He urged international organizations to assist developing nations in acquiring necessary digital infrastructure, preventing vulnerable communities from being excluded from modern economic growth.
