MANZINI– What happens when strangers are brought together for a day of games, outdoor adventure and shared experiences? At Khuselwa Farm Adventures in Lugaganeni, the answer will be explored through the second edition of the Laugh and Connect Retreat, where the focus is as much on human connection as it is on having fun.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 3, the retreat will bring participants together from 7am to 5pm for activities that include quad biking, a nature hike, group challenges and networking games.
The concept fits into the wider outdoor offering at Khuselwa Farm Adventures, which features activities such as hiking, horse riding, archery, paintball and quad biking. Its farm setting provides a space for visitors to combine recreation with time outdoors.
But for the retreat, the challenge is not only physical. Ice-breaker games, team activities and a reflection and sharing session are also included in the programme, creating opportunities for participants to interact beyond the usual introductions. There will also be a photoshoot, lunch and an awards ceremony, with the day running under the theme “Meet, Connect and Create Memories.”
The retreat reflects a growing interest in experiences that bring people together through participation rather than simply gathering them in one place. At Khuselwa, that means moving between the trails, games and group activities while sharing the experience with others.
The event costs E775 per person, with transport from Manzini available at an additional fee. For a day built around laughter and connection, the real test may be how quickly a group of unfamiliar faces becomes a team whether on the hiking trail or in the middle of a game.
