MATSAPHA – Far East Textile director Tokky Hou has called on businesses in Matsapha to come together through the Matsapha Wellness Day Race, saying the initiative can help raise funds towards the support of Cheshire Home.
Hou said businesses in the industrial town have an opportunity to work together and make a greater contribution towards the project. She said the aim was to help Cheshire Home with the support of businesses in Matsapha, emphasising that collective involvement could give the initiative a stronger impact.
Hou also encouraged members of the community to take part in the race, urging people to see the event as more than a fitness activity but also as an opportunity to contribute towards a community cause.
The Matsapha Wellness Day Race is scheduled to take place on 7 November 2026 and is being organised in partnership with Athletics Eswatini and the Matsapha Wellness Day Race Organising Committee.

The race combines the promotion of health and an active lifestyle with a fundraising component aimed at supporting Cheshire Home. Hou’s remarks come as organisers seek to build wider support for the event, particularly among businesses operating in Matsapha.
Her appeal places the private sector at the centre of the fundraising effort, with greater participation expected to translate into more support for the project.
With the race date approaching, the focus now shifts towards getting businesses, residents and other members of the community involved in an initiative that seeks to link wellness with community support.
