BADPLAAS – If your idea of a perfect Saturday involves good music, a sizzling braai and a lawn full of people ready to have a good time, then Badplaas is calling! The Biggest Braai on the Lawn returns for its third edition on 31 October 2026 at Mount Lu Casa Lodge, promising a day where music lovers can enjoy live performances without leaving their braai vibes behind.
Presented by Melrose Studios, the event is bringing together South African music star Naledi Aphiwe, Eswatini’s own Sancheziey and a line-up of other performers for an outdoor celebration of music, food and good company.
Joining the line-up are Sya Zw ide, Umelusi, Mcebisi SA, Mshana, Cool Drop, Mr Choosen, Celza and Inja Ka Gogo, with Mnqobi Tsabedze stepping up as the master of ceremonies (MC).
But what makes this gathering stand out is the experience itself. Guests will get to enjoy live entertainment while their braai stands are fired up on the lawn, combining two crowd favourites into one exciting outing.
Forget sitting at home wondering where the weekend went. Biggest Braai on the Lawn offers music fans a chance to gather their friends, prepare their favourite meat and enjoy performances in an outdoor setting.
Naledi Aphiwe is among the major attractions, while Sancheziey’s inclusion brings an Eswatini connection to the event. With different performers on the bill, the gathering is set to appeal to audiences looking for a mix of sounds and a relaxed atmosphere.
Whether you are coming for the music, the food or simply the chance to spend time with friends, the idea is to make the day about more than just watching artists on stage.
Mnqobi Tsabedze is already spreading the excitement, encouraging people to make their way to Badplaas for the third edition.
“NiBusy Perhaps, ngey31 October? If not, ngicela ke sihambeni siye la eBadplaas,” he said, inviting people to join the gathering.
The MC also made it clear that he is ready to get the party going, declaring: “Asambeni ke!!! As your MC, mine sengiReady!”
With that energy setting the tone, guests can expect an event built around music, socialising and the unmistakable atmosphere of a good braai.
