MANZINI- The midweek entertainment scene in Manzini is set for a major cultural upgrade as iF’s Lounge officially kicks off Karaoke Nights Season 2 on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Hosted at the Carson Building in Moneni, the launch features the legendary award-winning artist Bholoja, who is set to bring his soulful SiSwati and English compositions to a night themed in vibrant “African Wear”.
According to Mistosoul, the entertainment manager of iF’s Lounge, the primary goal for 2026 is to elevate the series into a signature cultural event that celebrates Eswatini’s heritage while drawing a more diverse crowd. “Season 2 aims to build on last year’s foundation by increasing attendance and fostering more participant engagement,” Mistosoul shared. Attendees can expect a more professional experience this year, featuring structured programming, special themed nights, and enhanced production in sound and lighting.
The initiative has a rich history of supporting the local arts, having transformed midweek evenings into a musical extravaganza since its inception. Last year’s debut season established iF’s Lounge as a premier venue for live entertainment by featuring an impressive roster of Eswatini’s finest talent.
The stage was graced by celebrated stars such as Nomalungelo Dladla, Zwile Bhembe, and Khole, alongside 2024 and 2025 MTN Bushfire Firefly winners Stella Jacobs and Hapkoo. Other notable performers included Beezae, Lunga The Comet, ZiyawaKaZitha, Nelly Noll, and Sarnilo, as well as Sethu, Fundile, Samantha, Mayeem, and the Best Duo. These artists helped cement the event’s reputation as a vital platform for both established and rising musicians.
The choice of Bholoja as the season opener marks a strategic shift toward incorporating high-profile local headliners to boost turnout. Mistosoul confirmed that 2026 will see a mix of regular open karaoke sessions blended with featured live sets from respected local acts. This strategy is designed to keep the core participatory vibe of karaoke while adding the star power necessary to make each Wednesday feel like a major event.
Safety and inclusivity remain at the heart of the “Ekasi” hub’s mission. To ensure a welcoming environment, iF’s Lounge has implemented strict right-of-admission policies and visible security. The team emphasizes a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive behavior, focusing instead on celebrating all voices—from beginners to professionals—in a supportive, laughter-filled atmosphere. To enhance the launch experience, the venue is offering several hospitality specials.
As the countdown to the launch begins, this event stands out as a pivotal moment for the Manzini nightlife scene. The event begins at 6 PM and runs until late, with entry set at E50.
