MBABANE— High-level investment interest in the Kingdom of Eswatini reached a new milestone as a senior delegation from the Africa Union Holdings (AUH) Group of Companies concluded a focused two-day site visit.

The delegation, led by the distinguished Senator Dr Linda Nxumalo, explored strategic opportunities designed to foster economic transformation and social empowerment across the nation.

Accompanying Senator Dr Nxumalo were senior executives Dr. Pleasure Masiu, Group Chief Operating Officer, and Dr. Levy Motebejane, Economic Advisor. The mission is part of AUH’s broader continental strategy to identify sustainable, high-impact investments that drive job creation and long-term economic stability.

Under the leadership of Senator Dr Linda Nxumalo, the visit emphasised the “win-win” philosophy that defines Africa Union Holdings. The group specialises in building self-sustaining business units that prioritise inclusive growth and shared value, ensuring that the benefits of international investment reach the heart of host communities. During the engagement, the delegation identified tourism, energy, and mining as critical sectors where Eswatini possesses a competitive advantage. Dr. Pleasure Masiu noted that the Kingdom’s strong fundamentals provide a solid platform for growth if investments are strategically aligned with national interests.

“Eswatini has immense potential,” Dr. Masiu remarked. “These sectors are catalysts for sustainable development. Under the guidance of this delegation, we are looking at how to turn that potential into tangible opportunities for the Eswatini people.”

A recurring theme during the visit was the preservation of Eswatini’s unique heritage. Dr. Masiu expressed deep admiration for the Kingdom’s social cohesion and its “one nation, one language” principle, noting that such cultural pride is a powerful asset in the global market. “The way this Kingdom embraces its heritage is world-class,” Dr. Masiu added. “This cultural preservation aligns perfectly with tourism potential. With the right development, Eswatini could become as iconic a global destination as Dubai.”

A core priority for the delegation led by Senator Dr Nxumalo is ensuring that economic progress does not stop at the city limits. Africa Union Holdings is committed to bridging the gap for those who have historically been sidelined, including rural communities, women, and the youth. Economic Advisor Dr. Levy Motebejane reaffirmed this commitment to inclusive development. “We are acutely aware of the challenges faced by women and young people in rural areas regarding employment,” he stated. “Our investment approach is designed to ensure that those often left behind—the very people who form the backbone of rural society—become active participants in our economic ventures.”

This focus on the “left behind” mirrors the essential work of organizations like Comfort For Africa, which strives to ensure the Deaf community and underprivileged children are integrated into the nation’s success story. The presence of such a high-level delegation, led by Senator Dr Nxumalo, signals a significant surge in investor confidence in Eswatini’s future. The visit served to reinforce the Kingdom’s reputation as an emerging destination for ethical, high-growth investment.

As the visit concluded, the Africa Union Holdings leadership expressed a shared vision with the Kingdom: one of sustainable development, empowerment, and a future where economic growth and cultural pride go hand-in-hand.
