LOZITHA – Gospel singer Siphesihle Khumalo has taken a defining step in her music ministry after recording 10 original songs during her highly anticipated live worship session, Becoming, held over the weekend.
Hosted at Lozitha High School and produced by Lokuhle Media Group, the live recording marked Khumalo’s official transition from being a backing vocalist to taking centre stage as a solo gospel minister.
The worship experience, which began at 6pm, drew a strong crowd of gospel music lovers who filled the venue to witness what many described as a powerful evening of praise, worship and inspiration. The project represents years of preparation and signals the beginning of a new chapter in Khumalo’s career.
“It is truly an incredible feeling,” Khumalo said after successfully completing the recording.
She described Becoming as the fulfilment of a dream she had carried for years, thanking God, her family and everyone who stood by her journey from the very beginning.
“I am grateful to everyone who believed in me and supported this vision. Seeing so many people come out to celebrate local gospel music reminded me that authentic creativity is appreciated in our country,” she said.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was filled with emotion as worshippers sang along and embraced every moment of the live recording. Khumalo said the overwhelming turnout surpassed her expectations and reaffirmed her commitment to creating music that uplifts and inspires.
“The public turnout exceeded my expectations,” she said. “The love and encouragement I received have motivated me to continue producing meaningful music that touches people’s lives.”
Rather than releasing the project all at once, Khumalo revealed that the 10-song collection will be rolled out in phases, with the first single expected later this year. The strategy is aimed at giving each song room to connect with audiences while building anticipation for the full live project.
Behind the successful production was Lokuhle Media Group, led by Phindokuhle Sithole, whose team assembled professional musicians, technicians and production specialists to deliver a high-quality live recording. The media company has earned a growing reputation for nurturing local talent and creating platforms that elevate Eswatini’s creative industry.
As she embarks on this new season, Khumalo believes Becoming is only the beginning. She hopes the project will open more doors for live gospel productions while encouraging greater investment in the country’s creative sector.
She also called on stakeholders to continue supporting local artists by creating opportunities and professional spaces that allow talent to flourish.
With 10 new songs now recorded and a passionate audience already behind her, Siphesihle Khumalo’s Becoming may well be the breakthrough moment that ushers in a promising new voice in Eswatini’s gospel music scene.
