MANZINI – It’s all praise, purpose, and powerful vocals as Big Bend We Praise gets ready for a major milestone—a live gospel recording set for June 28, 2025, at the Old Zakhele FEA Church in Manzini.
Founded by gospel visionary and youth mentor Winile Dlamini, Big Bend We Praise started out as a church worship team before officially rebranding in 2013. Now, under the spiritual leadership of Apostle P.P. Matsenjwa at Potters House Assemblies, the group has grown into a vibrant, spirit-led collective of ten young worshippers.
Blending soul-lifting harmonies with the beloved Itende gospel style, the group features a dynamic mix of two sopranos, three altos, three tenors, and two keyboardists—all dedicated to using their voices to glorify God and connect with the youth.
“This is more than music. Its ministry,” says group representative Anita Dlamini. “We want to show young people that worship can be joyful, powerful, and deeply fulfilling.”
The upcoming live recording will showcase a mix of original compositions and reimagined versions of earlier hits. Special guest artists include South Africa’s Apostle Linda Ndaba from KwaZulu-Natal, and local gospel powerhouses Sphiwo Ndoni and Linda Dlamini.
Originally planned for the Metropolitan Evangelical venue, the event was moved to Old Zakhele FEA Church due to a scheduling conflict. But the group says the new venue is just as fitting for the spirit-filled experience they’re preparing.

Behind the scenes, acclaimed gospel producer Mnqobi Maseku is directing the recording process. The group says intense rehearsals have sharpened both their musical excellence and spiritual unity, setting the tone for a high-impact night of worship.
This is just the beginning. Big Bend We Praise is already planning a Durban tour this December, and hopes to bring their fresh take on Itende to international platforms. They’re also working to make their music available on all major digital streaming services.
“Our ultimate dream is to worship God at a global level and inspire other young people to do the same,” says Dlamini.
With purpose, passion, and praise as their guide, Big Bend We Praise is not just recording music—they’re creating a gospel legacy.
