EZULWINI – His Royal Highness, and Appointed Member of Parliament (PM) Prince Lindani has informed the nation that His Majesty King Mswati III raised over E288 Million in less than 30 minutes for the OACP-S.
The Prince made the remarks during a press conference at Ezulwini Palazzo after he led a tour with OACP-S Parliamentary Committee Secretary General (SG) His Excellency Moussa Batraki.
The Prince said the King was able to raise these funds in less than 30 minutes at a Malabo, Equitorial Guinea conference.
“First, I’d like to take this opportunity. I am the one representing the parliament of the Kingdom of Eswatini at OACP-S. I’d like to thank His Majesty the King and Ingwenyama of the Kingdom of Eswatini, for graciously allowing us to come and host this event to this beautiful facility. I would also like to congratulate him on his 48th birthday and 40 years on the throne as His Majesty the King,” he said.
The Prince also highlighted that he would also like to congratulate the King on the successful hosting of the Taiwanese president at the very same beautiful facility – Ezulwini Palazzo.
“As a representative MP of Eswatini at the OACCP-S we are encouraged and are very excited that the kingdom is the host to this important meeting, which is the first important meeting hosted in this beautiful facility after it was launched by His Majesty the King.”
The Prince added that that was big for the OACP-S and the European Union (EU) who are to jointly take part in the host of the parliamentary assembly at the state-of-the-art facility in Eswatini.
“His Excellency, the Secretary General Moussa Batraki and the delegates from all over the world, there will see something that they have never experienced before. I am proud as a member of the OACP-S, that the very first conference to be held in this facility is the one that I’m involved in,” he said.
The legislator took the opportunity to thank His Excellency the secretary general of the organization for working closely with His Majesty, especially in resource mobilizing.
“His Majesty, a couple of months ago was in a conference meeting in Malabo, Equitorial Guinea was able to raise, to raise in less than 30 minutes over E389.1 billion (15 million euros) for the organization and that is something big, raising such an amount is not small. So we are excited as an organization,” he said.
He said The Secretary General and the Secretar were very excited because they work with the His Majesty in the resource mobilization. He thanked His Majesty for being the champion of this organization.
“We are now starting with the one for the parliamentarians. The next one will be for ministers. His Majesty has already assured that the one for heads of states is also to be here. I see the Secretary General is very happy. He’s never seen a facility this beautiful, I’m sure they would struggle to concentrate during the meeting at a this state-of-the-art facility.”
Prince Lindani thanked delegates once again for having confidence in this Majesty the King, for having confidence to bring such a massive conference to be held in this setting.
