SIPHOFANENI – People with disabilities under Siphofaneni Inkhundla received life-changing support after Grace Centre Church, led by Prophet Eternity Agape Gamedze, donated 15 wheelchairs, food parcels and E40 000 in financial assistance.
The donation, which took place on November 29, 2025, is expected to benefit 100 people with disabilities from seven communities within the constituency.
Prophetess Eternity Mbali Gamedze said the financial support was meant to help beneficiaries buy additional necessities and cover transport costs when travelling to hospitals for medical check-ups. She stressed that the church is fully aware of the difficulties faced by people with disabilities, particularly when they require medical care but lack the means.
“As a church, we understand the difficulties people with disabilities face when they have to go to hospitals due to financial constraints,” she said.

Grace Centre Church Chief Administrator, Armstrong Dlamini, explained that the donation forms part of an annual programme designed to support people with disabilities in the area. He said the church also cooks meals and distributes food parcels during the event to ensure beneficiaries feel supported both physically and spiritually.
“This is a yearly donation. We usually invite people with disabilities, cook for them and donate food parcels. People with disabilities are often forgotten by society, and their needs ignored,” he said.
Dlamini added that the church remains committed to addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of the community.
“It is important for people to be fed physically, not only spiritually. As a church, we aim to feed both the body and the spirit,” he said.
Indvuna of Siphofaneni Inkhundla, Phiwokwakhe Ngcamphalala, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the Inkhundla has long struggled to meet requests for wheelchairs.
“As Inkhundla, we have had a challenge of wheelchairs. People with disabilities come to request assistance, but we are unable to help. We are very grateful for this kind gesture—may God bless the church,” he said.
One of the beneficiaries, Patricia Mamba, shared her heartfelt appreciation as she had been without a wheelchair for a long time due to financial hardship. She said receiving the new wheelchair restored her dignity and independence.
“I am very grateful to the church. It was difficult to even reach the toilet because I had to crawl. With this wheelchair, God has answered my prayers,” she said.
The event brought renewed hope, comfort and relief to many, reaffirming Grace Centre Church’s dedication to uplifting vulnerable community members through compassion, service and love.
