- New vacancies announced in Malawi-based commission

MBABANE – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has announced new employment opportunities available within the COMESA Competition and Consumer Commission (CCCC), encouraging qualified citizens from member states to apply.
The vacancies are based in Lilongwe, where the regional commission is headquartered.
According to the Ministry, the available positions include Director of Corporate Services (P4), Arabic Translator (P2) and French Translator (P2).
The opportunities are open to qualified citizens from member countries of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa.
Encouraging Regional Participation
Government said the vacancies reflect ongoing efforts by regional institutions to strengthen capacity and promote professional opportunities within COMESA member states.
The Ministry encouraged suitably qualified emaSwati and other COMESA citizens to take advantage of the opportunities available within the regional body.
Applicants are required to submit their applications directly to the CCCC through the official recruitment email address.
The Ministry also advised candidates to complete the official application form available on the commission’s website before submission.
Application Process Outlined
Applicants are expected to submit the completed application form together with a curriculum vitae and supporting academic documents.

Government further requested that copies of submitted applications also be shared with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade’s International Trade Department.
Deadline Set For June
The closing date for applications has been set for 17 June 2026.
Officials say the vacancies present an important opportunity for professionals seeking to contribute to regional integration, trade development and consumer protection within the COMESA region.
The COMESA Competition and Consumer Commission plays a key role in promoting fair competition and protecting consumer interests across member states in Eastern and Southern Africa.
