MANZINI – “Dali bayekele bakushuthe shuthe, Ng’bonile ba busy baku posta post, Inkinga beba busy baku foster…”
These unforgettable bars from the song Badede have exploded across social media platforms, particularly TikTok, where they’ve soundtracked thousands of reels, lip-syncs, and emotional tributes. But behind the viral moment is a deeply personal story and a voice that’s quickly rising as one of Eswatini’s most powerful exports: Cool Drop.
Born Mancoba Mndzebele, Cool Drop has been crafting heartfelt, culturally rich music since stepping into the industry in 2016. What sets him apart isn’t just his lyrical fluency or musical polish it’s the raw emotion and lived experience he brings to every verse.

While fans may have first heard his name through the hit single “Makoti” featuring South African star Mlindo the Vocalist, it’s Badede that launched him into a global spotlight. But what listeners may not know is that the now-iconic verse wasn’t written for streams or trends it came from a place of pain, growth, and loyalty.
“That was me speaking directly to someone I cared about,” Cool Drop says. “People were posting her like they were close to her but they weren’t. I wrote that to protect her from fake energy. It was real.”
He continues: “Mine seng’vale ngemshudo and Ang’fun’ bomalambane baku loot that’s me saying I’ve chosen her, and I don’t want any parasites around her. That’s love in its purest form.”
For Cool Drop, music is more than entertainment it’s therapy. “That verse was for anyone who’s ever felt invisible but knew they had something powerful to say. I was speaking for us.”

The irony of that statement cuts deep. While the verse went viral, Cool Drop’s name was often left out of the conversation. Some even misattributed the track to South African artists. “That hurt,” he admits. “I gave my heart to that verse, and to see people not know who I was after all the work I’ve put in it made me feel invisible.”
But Cool Drop isn’t one to dwell in disappointment.
“I’ve been building brick by brick since 2016. Gigging, writing, working with my team. Badede was just one moment in a much longer journey. Every stage I’ve touched, I’ve earned.”
He’s also quick to acknowledge the creative synergy behind the song’s success. “The vibe in the studio was magic. No egos just people who love the music. That’s how timeless records are made.”
With momentum on his side and a growing fan base across Eswatini and beyond, Cool Drop is only getting started. “If Badede was your first time hearing me, stick around. There’s a lot more coming. This is just chapter one.”
