MBABANE- The decks are set, the playlist is locked in and Eswatini’s own DJ Bloss is ready to make a statement beyond the country’s borders as he prepares for his much-anticipated debut at the Durban July All Black Event this Sunday.
Known for turning dance floors into unforgettable experiences, Bloss will take centre stage at the Olive Convention Centre in North Beach, Durban, joining the crowd from across Southern Africa during one of the most glamorous weekends on the entertainment calendar. The annual Durban July festivities are synonymous with fashion, music and luxury, making the booking a significant milestone for the fast-rising DJ.
For Bloss, the opportunity is not just another gig—it is a chance to represent Eswatini on one of the region’s biggest stages and prove that local talent can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best.
“I’m super excited to be making my debut at the Durban July All Black Event. I’m looking forward to the experience,” he said.
Fans attending the event can expect more than just a playlist. Bloss promises a carefully crafted musical journey, blending exclusive selections with today’s biggest hits to create an atmosphere that keeps the crowd moving from start to finish.
“Fans can expect a blend of exclusive music with the current hit songs making waves. My sets are always special,” he said.
Behind every performance is a routine rooted in faith. Bloss revealed that before stepping behind the decks, he prays for guidance, allowing the energy of the audience to shape every song he plays.
“The most important thing is prayer. I ask God to guide me. My music selection is based on the energy that I feel immediately I get on stage. The energy guides the song selection,” he explained.
The Durban booking also serves as another reminder of how far the DJ has come. Having steadily built his name through consistent performances and crowd-pleasing sets, Bloss believes every invitation outside Eswatini is a sign that his hard work is paying off.
“It means a lot to me to be flying the flag in different stages outside the Kingdom. To be in an event as big as this one is just a stamp to say I should keep going,” he said.
As excitement builds ahead of Sunday’s event, Bloss made sure to acknowledge the people who have supported his journey from the very beginning.
“To my supporters, thank you so much. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them. I’ll never stop chasing the dream. Let’s go have fun in Durban and create more memories,” he said.
With thousands expected to attend the Durban July All Black Event, Sunday’s performance presents another opportunity for Bloss to showcase the sound of Eswatini on a regional stage. If his words are anything to go by, he is not travelling to Durban simply to perform—he is travelling to leave a lasting impression.
