MBABANE- The nation takes another progressive step toward informed development planning as the Minister of Economic Planning and Development is set to officially send off the Population and Housing Census Team tomorrow morning at 07:30 at Happy Valley.
The team will embark on the first phase of the 2027 Population and Housing Census, which focuses on listing and mapping households across the country.
This initial phase plays a vital role in ensuring accurate coverage and reliable national statistics. By carefully documenting communities and households, the exercise lays the groundwork for credible data that will guide future investments, social services, infrastructure development, and economic planning.
Government’s commitment to evidence-based decision-making continues to strengthen national development efforts, and the census process is expected to support inclusive growth and improved service delivery for all citizens. The launch also highlights the dedication of the hardworking census team, whose efforts will contribute to a stronger and well‑informed Eswatini.
