EZULWINI – Employees, customers and business partners have been credited as the driving force behind Eswatini Beverages being named the Overall Highest Compliant Contributor at the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) Client Appreciation Day, with the company saying its culture of accountability has been key to maintaining exemplary tax compliance.
Receiving the prestigious award at the Happy Valley Hotel on Friday night, Eswatini Beverages Managing Director and Country Director Doreen Tumureebire said the recognition reflected the dedication of the company’s workforce, the trust of its customers and the support of its partners.
“We are deeply honoured by this recognition. It reflects the commitment of our employees, the confidence our customers have in us and the partnerships that enable us to operate as a responsible business,” she said.
Tumureebire said Eswatini Beverages had been operating in the country for more than 50 years and remained one of Eswatini’s oldest manufacturing companies. She said the company remained committed to contributing to the country’s development and improving the lives of its people and communities.
She said the company’s impact extended far beyond the beverages it produced, noting that its operations supported suppliers, distributors, retailers and thousands of livelihoods across the country.
“Together, we create opportunities, strengthen local enterprises and contribute meaningfully to national economic growth,” she said.
Addressing the company’s consistent record of tax compliance, Tumureebire said accountability had become part of the organisation’s culture.
She said compliance and good corporate governance were embedded in the company’s values, enabling it to meet its tax obligations while maintaining high ethical standards.
Tumureebire added that Eswatini Beverages was proud to play its part in building the country’s economy through responsible business practices.
During her acceptance speech, she also paid tribute to the company’s customer relations team, praising its outstanding work and dedication, which she said had helped strengthen relationships with clients and contributed to the company’s continued success.
