LUDZIDZINI – A magnificent new chapter in Eswatini’s vibrant cultural heritage was powerfully etched this year as the Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) Imbali Regiment made a truly historic and impactful debut at the Annual Reed Dance Ceremony 2026.
According to ENHI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mazwi Mavuso, their participation was not merely an appearance, but a profound statement of commitment.
Mavuso affirmed the significance of this milestone, stating, “This landmark participation marks the first time ENHI has officially joined this prestigious national event, showcasing a powerful commitment to Eswatini’s cultural heritage, national identity, unity, discipline, and service.”
He detailed the meticulous preparation that paved the way for this success.
“The journey commenced with dedicated rehearsals alongside His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS) at Matsapha Correctional College, where the discipline and unity of our maidens deeply impressed leadership,” the CEO explained.
He said from those rigorous preparations to their proud send-off, the journey of the ENHI Imbali was one of meticulous preparation and profound purpose. We emphasized their crucial role as ambassadors, carrying not just the ENHI name, but its core values, sterling reputation, and corporate identity.
Mavuso further elaborated on the captivating spectacle: “The Imbali’s vibrant presence captivated all throughout the ceremony. Their enthusiastic participation in ‘kushuca’ cutting the sacred reeds at Sidzidzi Semhlanga to their determined six-kilometre journey from Mpisi Farm to Mafutseni, and finally, the triumphant delivery of the Umhlanga at Ludzidzini Royal Residence, saw the ENHI maidens embody strength, grace, and unwavering commitment.”
This remarkable journey, according to the CEO, was significantly bolstered by invaluable partnerships. He acknowledged Tesco Cash & Carry for their iconic branded t-shirts and energy drinks, and Century Fashion, Easy Buy, and Tandori for vital meals.
He also articulated the broader, transformative impact by stating that this historic debut is far more than just participation; it’s about building a lasting legacy, passionately celebrating our culture, and profoundly strengthening the connection between ENHI, its people, and the Kingdom it proudly serves.
Mavuso emphasized that while their Imbali proudly represented ENHI on the cultural stage, the institution’s dedicated medical teams stood ready to provide essential healthcare support, reinforcing ENHI’s enduring commitment to service.
Concluding with a message of immense pride, the CEO declared, “The ENHI Imbali’s presence at Reed Dance 2026 is a testament to courage, preparation, partnership, discipline, and pride.
