MBABANE – Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) and the Mbabane Municipal Council have signed an E10 million infrastructure partnership aimed at upgrading key urban roads and strengthening city infrastructure under the theme “Building the Future: Transforming Mbabane Infrastructure.”
The agreement was formally signed ENPF CEO Futhi Tembe and Mbabane Municipal Council CEO Gciniwe Fakudze during a ceremony held at Hilton Garden Inn on Friday July 3, 2026, marking a major collaboration between the two institutions to accelerate development within the capital city.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Vusi Tembe said the partnership is expected to yield positive development outcomes for residents of Mbabane, noting that collaboration between institutions remains key to improving service delivery and urban growth.
ENPF Chief Executive Officer Futhi Tembe, who was part of the official address, highlighted the importance of strategic investment in driving sustainable development. She said ENPF, as a development-focused institution, is committed to supporting infrastructure projects that improve the lives of Emaswati.
“We like to see development, and that is why we saw a need to partner with the Mbabane Municipal Council. This project is about building the future of Mbabane. We are proud to sponsor this initiative, and it will improve the lives of residents,” she said.
