MBABANE – The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) proudly congratulates its President, Adam Mthethwa, and Chief Executive Officer, Maxwell Jele, on their prestigious appointments to key continental sports commissions.
According to a statement from EOCGA, Mthethwa has been appointed to the ANOCA Finance Commission for the 2025–2028 quadrennial, a commission tasked with supporting sound financial governance and strategic oversight within the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
Jele has been appointed to the ANOCA Marketing and Communications Commission for the 2025–2028 quadrennial and has also been appointed by the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Board of Advisors to serve on the Region 5 High Performance Commission for a two-year term.
“These appointments are a testament to the confidence that continental sports leadership has in the expertise, commitment, and contribution of Eswatini’s sports administrators. They also reflect the growing influence of Eswatini within the African Olympic and sports movement,” reads the statement.
It states further that EOCGA is confident that both leaders will make meaningful contributions in advancing good governance, athlete development, high-performance sport, strategic communication, and sustainable growth across the continent.
“Congratulations to Mr. Mthethwa and Mr. Jele on these well-deserved appointments. We wish them success as they continue to represent Eswatini with distinction on the continental stage.”
