MBABANE – Eswatini continues to make its mark on the global cue sports stage as the Eswatini Cue Sports Association (ECSA) has been officially invited to participate in the nomination process for the 2nd World Billiards Celebrity. This prestigious recognition further cements the country’s growing status within the international cue sports community.
ECSA described the invitation as more than symbolic, stating that it affirms Eswatini’s growing influence in the global arena and unlocks opportunities for collaboration, development, and cultural exchange. “We are honored to be part of this movement because ECSA has been invited to become the co-organizer and also osrticipatei the nomination of the 2nd World Billiards Celebrity.” Dlamini stated.
“But all in all, the appointment into the organizing committee is quite exciting to us. We are humbled by the recognition by our world body. The billiards museum and the Hall of Fame are very important for sport. We trust our players will be inspired to fight for a space in the hall of fame.” Dlamini emphasized.

This latest development follows the landmark opening of the World Billiards Museum in Yushan County, Jiangxi Province. Now the largest museum of its kind in the world, the facility spans 13,500 square meters and houses a 7,000-square-meter building dedicated to the rich history of cue sports. From displays on legendary players and historic matches to exhibits exploring equipment innovations and the cultural impact of billiards, the museum offers a comprehensive look into the sport’s global evolution.
For ECSA, the museum’s goals align seamlessly with its mission to develop cue sports within Eswatini, particularly by providing training, competition platforms for youth, and promoting cue sports as both a cultural and educational pursuit.
Cue sports have seen steady growth in Eswatini, especially among young people, and a loyal fan base is taking shape across the Kingdom. ECSA’s strengthened ties with international partners signal a promising future, paving the way for increased recognition, exchange programs, and developmental opportunities.
With this new chapter, Eswatini is not just participating it is helping to shape the global story of cue sports.
