MBABANE- Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has declared that the Kingdom of Eswatini is open, ready, and fully committed to attracting global investment and building strong international partnerships that drive sustainable development and economic growth.

Dlamini made the remarks when he received a business delegation from Turkmenistan during a courtesy visit at the Private and Cabinet Office today, where discussions focused on investment opportunities and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

The delegation arrived in the Kingdom yesterday and was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Senator Pholile Shakantu. The visit forms part of a business scoping mission following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Eswatini and Turkmenistan in August last year, marking a new chapter in diplomatic and economic engagement.

Led by Mr Abdurakhmanov Khydyrberdi Bayrammyradovich, Owner and Founder of Aydyn Gijeler Holding LTD, the delegation engaged Government leadership on potential investment opportunities across key sectors of the Eswatini economy. Among the areas of interest raised was the procurement of sugar from Eswatini, reflecting growing international confidence in the Kingdom’s agricultural value chains and production capacity.

The delegation conveyed that it had been formally mandated by the Government of Turkmenistan to strengthen bilateral relations and explore mutually beneficial partnerships with Eswatini. They also commended the Kingdom for its breathtaking landscapes and the warmth and hospitality of its people, describing Eswatini as a country with strong potential as a leading tourism destination.

Welcoming the delegation, Dlamini expressed optimism that the visit would translate into tangible investment projects that support economic growth, job creation, and national development. He reaffirmed Eswatini’s commitment to deepening cordial relations with Turkmenistan and emphasized Government’s readiness to foster meaningful, long-term, and mutually beneficial partnerships with Turkmenistani companies.

Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Home Affairs, HRH Princess Lindiwe, and Eswatini’s Ambassador to the United Nations in New York, H.E Thami Dlamini.

The engagement reflects Eswatini’s growing international profile as a stable, welcoming, and investment-ready nation, positioning the Kingdom as a trusted partner for global investors seeking opportunity, partnership, and long-term growth in Africa.
