EZULWINI – A message of pride, responsibility and future opportunity took centre stage in Ezulwini as Mayor Refiloe Mamogobo reflected on His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40 years of leadership, highlighting both gratitude and a vision for growth at a time when the nation is marking a significant milestone.
Speaking during the ongoing national celebrations, the Mayor focused on what it means for Ezulwini to host such an important moment, placing the community at the heart of the occasion and its national significance.
“As a town and as an Inkhundla, we are so blessed and honoured that His Majesty has chosen our area to host this prestigious event. We do not take this for granted,” she said.
Her remarks shifted attention from the celebrations themselves to the role of the community in upholding the image and spirit of the nation. She emphasised the municipality’s responsibility to reflect excellence, pride and hospitality to all visitors.
“We have done our utmost best to ensure that the municipality is kept prestigious and welcoming to all our visitors, so that they enjoy a pleasant stay,” she said.
Looking ahead, the Mayor pointed to opportunities linked to national development, particularly the upcoming International Convention Centre, which is expected to elevate Ezulwini’s profile.
“This event will be coupled with a soft launch of the world-class ICC, which we believe will be both a regional and international icon that will bring meaningful employment to our area,” she said.
Her message also carried a forward-looking tone, linking the milestone celebration to continued national progress and community benefit.
“I stand together with our people to wish His Majesty a prosperous birthday and continued grace and wisdom as he leads the nation to greater economic and social heights,” she said.
As the country reflects on four decades of leadership, the Mayor’s message positions Ezulwini as a community ready to contribute to the next phase of national growth and development.
