EZULWINI – The Ezulwini Municipality, in partnership with the Ministry of Home Affairs, led a clean-up campaign followed by a vibrant road march in Ezulwini on Tuesday, March 22, 2026 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the reign of His Majesty King Mswati III.
The procession brought together government institutions, schools, and members of the community, following a designated route from the Kabhelina police post along the D36 Tea Road to Corner Plaza and continuing along the MR103 through major commercial hubs, including the Happy Valley traffic circle and The Gables.
The event formed part of nationwide activities marking four decades of leadership, with participants demonstrating unity, patriotism, and cultural pride through coordinated marches, song, and traditional performances.
The road march turned Ezulwini into a vibrant centre of celebration, as participants from different sectors,ranging from public institutions to learners, joined in large numbers. The strong turnout reflected growing public engagement in national programmes and highlighted the importance of collective participation in commemorating key milestones.
According to the municipality’s social media page, preparations for the event included a comprehensive clean-up campaign conducted along the entire route. Municipal management, staff, and community members took part in the exercise, ensuring that the town was clean, safe, and ready to host the celebrations.
The clean-up initiative reinforced the municipality’s commitment to environmental sustainability and civic responsibility, aligning with broader national goals of promoting healthy and well-maintained urban spaces. It also demonstrated proactive planning by local authorities in supporting large-scale public events.
