MANZINI – Fitness Zone Gym Manzini has officially launched the second edition of its Annual Charity Run on Friday 23,2026, set to take place on 14 March 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting healthy living while giving back to the community.

All proceeds from the 2026 Charity Run will once again go towards Hope House Manzini, a home that provides care and support to vulnerable children. The initiative builds on the success of the inaugural run held last year, which raised E15,000, with organisers now aiming to double that amount.

Speaking at the launch held at Fitness Zone Gym on Friday, Managing Director Mavis Hein Van Der Zandt outlined the logistics of the event and encouraged the public to participate in large numbers. She said the charity run is not only about fitness, but also about uniting the community behind a meaningful cause.

Participants can enter either the 5km race at E100 or the 10km race at E150. Oracle Insurance members will enjoy a 50% discount on entry fees, as part of the sponsor’s support for the initiative.

The 5km route will start at Fitness Zone Gym, proceed to Bosco Skills Centre, and return to the gym.

The 10km route will run from Fitness Zone to the Remand Centre, past the Fire Station and Nazarene Robot, along Central DS Road to the Divine Healing Water corner, passing St Michaels, before returning to Central Road and finishing at Fitness Zone.

Representing Hope House, Father A. Dlamini from Mbabane expressed appreciation to Fitness Zone and its partners for continued support, noting that such initiatives make a meaningful difference in the lives of children at the home.

Athletics Eswatini President Zakhele Dlamini welcomed the initiative and called on more sponsors to come on board. He said he was hopeful that this year’s charity run would surpass last year’s fundraising total, citing growing interest from runners and corporate partners.

The 2026 Charity Run is supported by sponsors including Oracle Insurance, Plascon, Just Print, Dezmatic, Njomane Fitness, Healthnest, S-Team and Sandkick.

Registration is open at Fitness Zone Gym (Manzini), Jazzygee (Nhlangano), Eswatini Athletics (Lobamba), and BFitFam (Mbabane).

Organisers have urged members of the public, corporate organisations and fitness enthusiasts to take part, support the cause and help make the 2026 Charity Run an even greater success.
