EZULWINI– The energy at Happy Valley Hotel reached another level when South African DJ, musician and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle stepped behind the decks on Saturday, turning the final day of Swazi Boy Entertainment’s 20th anniversary celebration into a night of nostalgia, new music and nonstop dancing.
Fresh from an electric set that had the crowd singing word for word to hits including Umlilo, Baba Yilwa, Wo-Lo, Her Name Is, Ezothando, Njengemali and Fire, DJ Zinhle gave fans another reason to celebrate when she introduced her latest song, Nayvee’s Prayer featuring Nayvee Womculo and Young Stunna.
Released on Friday, September 25, 2026, the song received its first live performance from DJ Zinhle in Eswatini, creating a special moment for fans who had already encountered the track on TikTok.
The crowd immediately recognised the song, with voices rising across the venue as fans sang along and danced to the track, showing how quickly the new release had travelled into the social media space.
For DJ Zinhle, however, the Swazi Boy celebration was about more than one performance.
Reflecting on her relationship with Swazi Boy Entertainment, she said she had visited Eswatini several times through the entertainment company and was excited to return for such a significant milestone.
“I’ve been here a few times before through Swazi Boy, which has been amazing,” she said. “They were able to call me up when they were celebrating such a big milestone. It feels amazing to be a part of it.”
Her appearance also carried a business touch, with ERA by DJ Zinhle bringing its pop-up shop to the celebration.
According to DJ Zinhle, Swazi Boy was determined to introduce the fashion brand to the Eswatini market.
“Swazi Boy would not take no for an answer. They were like, ‘We need ERA here for the ladies,’” she said.
She added that the partnership marked an important step for the brand, saying she believed Swazi Boy was among the first to bring ERA to Eswatini.
Beyond the stage and fashion racks, DJ Zinhle is also looking towards the next generation of music.
She revealed that she is working with several young artists whom she hopes to develop, describing the experience as an exciting new area of her career.
“I’ve got a few artists that I’m working with, that I’m developing,” she said. “I think that’s my next area of music — I’m working with more young artists and developing them.”
With ERA continuing to grow through new stores and DJ Zinhle expanding her involvement in artist development, her Swazi Boy appearance showed an entertainer building beyond the DJ booth.
But on Saturday night, it was the music that took centre stage.
And when Nayvee’s Prayer filled Happy Valley for the first time, Eswatini became part of the song’s early live journey, with a crowd already singing along to a track barely a day old.
