MANZINI– The Mlawula Campfire Festival is shaping up to be more than a weekend of music, dancing and outdoor fun, with gospel artists Linda Dlamini and Shongwe & Khuphuka Saved Group bringing a spiritual side to the three-day gathering.
The seventh edition of the festival is set for 25–27 September at Mlawula Nature Reserve, where the sound of live music will mix with the crackle of campfires and the atmosphere of a weekend in the great outdoors.
Among the acts on the programme are gospel performers Linda Dlamini and Shongwe & Khuphuka Saved Group, giving festivalgoers an opportunity to trade a few dance moves for moments of worship and reflection.
Dlamini is expected to bring his gospel sound to the festival stage, while Shongwe & Khuphuka Saved Group will add their harmonies and group vocals to the musical offering.
Their inclusion gives the festival a different flavour. While Mlawula is known for its camping and social atmosphere, the gospel performances mean the weekend will also have room for faith, praise and a few moments of singing along to familiar spiritual sounds.
For those who arrive ready to groove, there is still plenty of room to enjoy the festival atmosphere. But between the outdoor adventures, campfire conversations and music, the gospel acts are set to remind attendees that a good weekend does not always have to revolve around the party.
The festival’s setting at Mlawula Nature Reserve also adds to the experience, bringing together music and the outdoors under the night sky.With gospel sharing the stage with the broader festival entertainment, Mlawula is preparing for a weekend where the playlist can move from dancing to worship without missing a beat.
Tickets are available through Moja Ticket outlets countrywide, including Swazi Plaza in Mbabane, Mahhala in Matsapha, Bhunu Mall in Manzini and outlets in Simunye.
For the seventh edition, the campfire may be burning, the music may be playing, and the dancing may be inevitable but with Dlamini and Shongwe & Khuphuka Saved Group on the bill, God is definitely getting a seat by the fire too.
