MBABANE — The Government, through the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, has completed two fencing projects worth E1 081 924.09 within three months, covering 1 345 metres at Qomintaba and Makhwelela chiefdoms in the Shiselweni Region.
Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development S’khumbuzo Dlamini toured the completed projects today as Government continues to deliver infrastructure aimed at responding to the needs of traditional institutions and communities.
The projects comprise fencing at Qomintaba Chiefdom under Matsanjeni Inkhundla and Makhwelela Chiefdom under Shiselweni II Inkhundla.
The Qomintaba project was completed at a cost of E545 673.86 and covers 590 metres, while the Makhwelela project cost E536 250.23 and covers 755 metres.
Together, the projects represent more than E1 million in public investment in community infrastructure across the region.
The completion of the two projects within three months highlights Government’s focus on accelerating the implementation of development projects and ensuring that public investment results in visible infrastructure on the ground.
The fencing projects are also intended to strengthen traditional institutions while responding to infrastructure needs identified within the communities.
Through such projects, the Ministry continues to advance the vision of “Iyatfutfuka Imiphakatsi”, which promotes development that reaches and benefits communities.
The completion of the projects provides tangible evidence of ongoing Government investment in community infrastructure in the Shiselweni Region, bringing development closer to the people.
