GROUP B CHAMPIONS EMERGE AT INYATSI SCHOOLS ARTS & CULTURE COMPETITIONS

MANZINI – Group B leg of the Inyatsi Schools Arts & Culture Drama & Theatre Competitions has produced outstanding performances, with schools showcasing their creativity, cultural pride and artistic talent across various categories including Sicathamiya, Dance, Drama and Poetry.

In the Sicathamiya category, Vulamasango High School claimed the top position through 13C, which scored 74 points. Ngcoseni Community High School’s 6C secured second place with 54 points, while Mbabane Central High School’s 7C finished third with 49 points.

The Gumboot Dance category saw impressive performances from both primary and high schools. Global Primary School’s 2D emerged as the winner in the primary school category. At high school level, Shewula High School dominated, with 10D2 taking first place, followed by Gundvwini High School’s 9D in second position and Shewula High School’s 10D1 in third place.

Drama also took centre stage, with Ngomane Primary School’s 1A winning the primary drama category. In the high school division, Mpaka High School’s 5A emerged victorious, followed by Ngomane High School’s 3A in second place and Gundvwini High School’s 9A in third position.

Individual excellence was also recognised, with Shewula High School’s 10A receiving the Best Cameo award. Ngomane Primary School’s 1A produced the Best Actress, while Gundvwini High School’s 9A earned the Best Actor accolade.

The Poetry category highlighted the depth of young voices, with Ngomane Primary School taking first place with 84 points, followed by Global Primary School. In the high school category, Mpaka High School’s 5B topped the rankings with 89 points, while Ekukhanyeni High School’s 12B and Ekudvwaleni High School’s 11B followed with 88 and 87 points respectively.

The Group B competitions continue to demonstrate the power of arts and culture in developing confidence, creativity and appreciation of heritage among learners.
