MANZINI – The story is not over yet. After introducing audiences to a world of conflict, power struggles and difficult social realities, OGF Movement is bringing ‘Imimoya’ back to the stage with its second instalment, ‘Imimoya Part 2: Siyawubohla Manyosi’.
The production will be staged at the Mbabane Theatre Club on 4 September 2026, continuing a storyline that began with the first Imimoya production.
The first instalment explored issues including corruption, domestic disputes and struggles that often remain hidden behind closed doors. Rather than simply presenting these issues as entertainment, the production used theatre to place them in front of audiences and encourage reflection.
Part two takes the story further, giving the characters and themes room to develop instead of treating the first production as a once-off performance. The production is directed by Stan Mabuza, produced by OGF Movement and performed by the OGF Theatre Group.
For the group, continuing Imimoya also creates space for local performers and other creatives to sharpen their skills while bringing locally produced theatre to audiences.
The evening will not rely on theatre alone. Under the theme “A Night of Power, Passion and Purpose,” the programme will also feature performances from Stella Jacobs, Phiwo Mnisi and Tony Anthonimass, bringing music, poetry and theatre together.
The title Siyawubohla Manyosi adds another layer to the production, reflecting a journey of confronting difficult circumstances and finding a way forward. The return of Imimoya also comes at a time when locally produced theatre continues to provide a platform for stories that might otherwise struggle to find space.
The show starts at 6:30 p.m., with tickets priced at E70. Tickets will be available at the door, while reservations can be made by calling or texting 78653369 or 79753043. For audiences who followed the first production, the night offers a chance to see where the story goes next. For newcomers, it is an entry point into a story that is still unfolding.
