BOYANE– Eswatini afro-soul and trap singer Hapkoo, real name Temangcamane Maseko from Mbekelweni, Boyane, has released a stirring and inspirational EP titled Vuka, a project already resonating deeply with listeners for its fearless message of awakening, courage, and emotional rebirth.

Officially launched on 28 November 2025, the EP arrives as an intensely personal call for audiences to rise above despair and reclaim their inner strength.

“Vuka is the most honest and ambitious music I’ve ever released, she says. “It’s an urgent call to anyone who has lost hope. The world is changing, people are hurting, and many of us try countless times without ever being given a chance. This EP reassures you that we would rather die trying than give up.

Through Vuka, Maseko channels the emotional, spiritual, and psychological battles faced by many today. She explains that the EP serves as a reminder that even in overwhelming darkness, clarity and renewal are still possible. “It’s about breaking through caves, shedding what holds us down, and stepping into a new day. I hope this EP becomes the alarm clock we all sometimes need,” she adds.

The six-track project takes listeners on a focused, reflective, and ultimately uplifting journey of healing and self-discovery.

The EP opens with the title track, Vuka, featuring Quekey – an unapologetic call to rise and reclaim one’s destiny. The second track, Wena, invites emotional connection and vulnerability, grounding the belief that transformation begins within.

In Inganekwane, also featuring Quekey, Hapkoo explores trust, betrayal, and the importance of boundaries, reminding listeners that not everyone is meant to celebrate their victories. The fourth track, We Gonna Make It, featuring Lucia Gang Child, bursts with optimism, assuring fans that perseverance and hope can overcome even the toughest obstacles.

Sibali, the EP’s fifth offering, adds cultural and social depth to the project. Here, Hapkoo reflects on relationships, responsibility, and mutual respect while amplifying the message against gender-based violence. She closes with Mphatsi, a spiritually anchored track celebrating divine guidance and the certainty that faith lights the path forward.

More than a musical project, Vuka is a heartfelt offering created to heal, comfort, and empower. Every song connects to the EP’s central theme: wake up, rise, and try again.

Listeners can now stream, download, or purchase Vuka across major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, and Amazon Music. The full EP playlist is available here:
