HOOKERNAE DROPS DRILL ANTHEM ‘OPPS’ TO INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION

MBABANE – Eswatini’s drill scene has a powerful new voice as rising artist HookerNae, born Siyabonga Maseko, officially released his highly anticipated hit single, ‘OPPs,’ on January 29, 2026.

The track, produced and mastered by the acclaimed AN Productions, is more than just a display of lyrical prowess; it is a call to action for the youth of the Kingdom to remain resilient in the face of adversity.

HookerNae’s musical journey began in 2019, a pivotal year while he was completing his matric. Over the last few years, he has meticulously refined his sound, carving out a niche as a dedicated drill trap artist. Speaking on the release, the artist noted that his path has been guided by faith and the belief that timing is everything.

“Through my new hit, I want to inspire the youth and young adults to not give up on their dreams; it’s never too late,” HookerNae shared. “Since through God anything is possible, we were able to see positive outcomes in this testing and trying world.”

One of the core themes of ‘OPPs’ is the importance of perseverance, particularly regarding education and life after school. HookerNae felt a deep responsibility to address the youth’s need for a way forward surrounding school completion. He credits his growth to a strong support system of brothers and musical mentors, including the likes of Ricky Dè Soudä, Smart Crazy, and Teddy Beast.

Unlike many independent releases that are fraught with obstacles, HookerNae describes the creation of ‘OPPs’ as a seamless process. “I didn’t face any challenges per se; I would say all in all it was a great release,” he remarked, reflecting a level of professionalism and preparation that is quickly becoming his trademark.

As the track begins to gain traction in the local streets and digital spaces, HookerNae is inviting fans to join his movement across his social media platforms. The artist is looking to build a community of “dream-chasers” who resonate with his message of grit and spiritual groundedness.
