EZULWINI– As women continue to rise into influential roles in business, government, and community leadership, Her Royal Highness Inkhosikati Make Langangaza has called on them to look beyond personal success and focus on building a lasting legacy that will create opportunities for future generations.
She made the remarks at the Africa Business and Professional Women Leaders Conference – IGNITE 2026, held at the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini on Friday, August 7, 2026. Inkhosikati Langangaza encouraged women to use their influence to transform lives, share knowledge, and create meaningful opportunities for others.
The conference, held under the theme “Take Your Place in L.I.F.E.”, brought together women leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs from Eswatini and across Africa for discussions on leadership, business development, financial empowerment, and personal growth.
Delivering the keynote address, Inkhosikati Langangaza said Africa needs women who lead with courage, compassion, excellence, and integrity.
“Today, Africa needs women who are courageous in faith, excellent in business, compassionate in leadership, and unwavering in integrity,” she said.
She emphasised that success should not only be measured by businesses built or positions attained, but also by the positive impact leaders have on the lives of others.
“Our success is measured not only by the enterprises we build, but by the lives we transform,” she said.
Inkhosikati Langangaza further encouraged women to embrace leadership as a long-term responsibility that extends beyond their own generation, urging them to leave behind strong values, faith, and opportunities for those who will come after them.
“Leadership is legacy. Let us leave behind faith, values, and opportunities for generations yet unborn,” she said.
She also highlighted the importance of sound financial stewardship, noting that responsible financial management is key to building stability and prosperity for future generations.
The Inkhosikati stressed the need for women to support one another by sharing knowledge, opening doors, and building strong networks across borders, industries, and generations.
She said such networks would enable women to learn from one another, overcome challenges, and fully harness their collective potential.
Inkhosikati Langangaza also acknowledged His Majesty King Mswati III for recognising women’s leadership through the appointment of women to key positions in both public and corporate sectors.
She said this recognition affirms the vital role women play in Eswatini’s development.
“By honouring women’s contributions, His Majesty underscores the truth that inclusive leadership is not only a matter of equity, but also a driver of innovation and national progress,” she said.
She further underscored the importance of women having a voice at decision-making tables and actively participating in shaping Africa’s future.
The conference provided a platform for women to engage on practical leadership challenges while gaining knowledge to strengthen their businesses, careers, and financial wellbeing.
ENPF CEO Futhi Tembe was among the speakers who equipped delegates with practical financial literacy skills to help them make informed decisions, build wealth, and secure their financial futures.
The gathering also promoted collaboration among women from diverse industries, backgrounds, and generations, reinforcing the value of mentorship and shared experiences.
For Inkhosikati Langangaza, leadership is ultimately defined by the legacy one leaves behind.
Her message to women was therefore not only to rise, but to ensure that their progress creates pathways for others to follow—leaving behind a legacy of values, opportunity, stability, and transformed lives.
