SIDVOKODVO- South African rapper K.O is eagerly anticipating his performance at the much-anticipated Hipnotik Music Festival, set to take on October 4 -5, 2025, at Riders Ranch, Sidvokodvo.
In a recent video announcement, K.O expressed his excitement, stating, “Guess who’s back baby? Hipnotik Festival 2025, I will be performing live. This Sunday, I can’t wait to see you.” His enthusiasm reflects the anticipation surrounding the festival, which aims to not only entertain but also empower the local community.
After a seven-year hiatus, the festival is making a grand return, promising to reignite the country’s creative spirit and youth culture with an electrifying lineup featuring some of the biggest names in Mzansi rap, including Tony Dayimane and Usimamane.
Festival director and founder Sakhile Nkambule shared his vision for the event in an exclusive interview, emphasizing that the festival’s comeback is not merely about nostalgia but a purposeful effort to support the local creative community. “We’re incredibly excited. The return of Hipnotik isn’t just nostalgic, it’s strategic,” Nkambule explained.
The seven-year break allowed the organizers to assess the evolving needs of the creative sector and the broader market. Nkambule acknowledged the detrimental effects the festival’s absence had on Eswatini’s entertainment ecosystem. “We’ve seen what the absence of Hipnotik did to the local entertainment ecosystem. Now, we’re here to restore that pulse and take it further,” he said.
Hipnotik was founded on the belief that Eswatini’s youth have immense talent and ambition but often lack the necessary platforms, business acumen, and networks to succeed. “Talent alone is insufficient; it requires platforms, business knowledge, networks, and brand equity. Hipnotik is that convergence point,” Nkambule noted.
