LUDZELUDZE– Stylish, eco-friendly designs made with care for people and planet.
Fortunate Mdluli, whose other name is Ntombikayise, is the creative force behind KaysesCreations, a fashion label born from her passion for clothing design and her commitment to sustainability. The brand name itself is a personal tribute:
“KaysesCreations comes from my name,” she explains. “My name is Ntombikayise, so I took the Kayise, changed it a bit to Kayses, which is pronounced in English.”
Mdluli, the creative force behind KaysesCreations, hails from Ludzeludze with a clear mission: to transform the fashion landscape through stylish, ethical, and sustainable clothing. Founded on a passion for fashion and a deep commitment to the environment, KaysesCreations offers both women and men versatile garments crafted from organic fabrics and upcycled materials, proving that sustainability doesn’t mean sacrificing style.
“KaysesCreations was born out of my passion for fashion and my desire to make a positive impact on the environment and the lives of those involved in the production process,” Mdluli explains. “I believe it’s crucial for the industry to move towards responsible practices that prioritize the well-being of both people and the planet.”

What truly sets KaysesCreations apart is its unwavering commitment to ethical production. Mdluli emphasizes transparency, quality, and conscious design at every stage of production. Customers know they’re buying clothing they can feel good about, from both a fashion and ethical perspective.
A key pillar of the brand’s approach is its collaboration with local artisans and communities in Eswatini. Mdluli works closely with skilled craftspeople, integrating traditional techniques and materials into her designs. This not only supports local livelihoods but also helps preserve cultural heritage.
“Local artisans and communities are an integral part of my production process,” she says. “This collaboration allows us to celebrate and sustain our rich traditions while creating something new and modern.”

Future goals for KaysesCreations include expanding the product line to feature a wider range of sustainable options like accessories, while also growing its international presence through e-commerce and collaborations with like-minded brands and retailers.
A highlight for the brand was its participation in the Luju Festival, showcasing designs that celebrate African fashion and culture. Mdluli describes it as one of her most rewarding moments:
“We are immensely grateful to Far East Textiles for their generosity in sponsoring our fabrics, which enabled us to create unique pieces that reflect the essence of the ‘Threads of Time’ theme. I’d also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Luju styling and advisory team for their guidance and support. Their expertise has been invaluable in helping me refine my collection and bring my vision to life.”
The 2025 fashion theme, “Threads of Time,” is central to her latest collection, blending traditional elements with modern design to tell a story of African textile heritage and its evolving future.

As KaysesCreations continues to carve its path in sustainable fashion, Mdluli calls on everyone to support local talent:
“By celebrating the incredible creativity of African designers, we can collectively contribute to a more vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive fashion landscape. I encourage everyone to come out and support local fashion at the Luju Festival.”
