MBABANE– Eswatini singer and songwriter Nelly Noll has received a major nod from South African Amapiano heavyweight Kelvin Momo after the acclaimed producer reacted to her new single, “Ngithathekile”, praising the sound and leaving the rising artist buzzing with excitement.
Momo, known for his smooth, jazz-infused and deep-house-influenced “private school Amapiano” sound, reacted to Nelly Noll’s video on TikTok, where he left an enthusiastic comment: “This sounds beautiful 😓😓🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽 You tooooo Good ✨✨✨.”
For Nelly Noll, the recognition comes at a particularly exciting moment in her musical journey.
Sharing the reaction with her followers, the singer could barely hide her excitement, captioning the post: “Kelvin Momo Approves… Good Morning.”
The moment follows a memorable appearance at the 2026 Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival, where Nelly Noll performed and opened the stage for Nasty C alongside Tribal Natives.
Behind the scenes at Luju, the singer also had an unexpected encounter with Nasty C, who took an interest in her music. After asking about her sound, Nelly Noll explained that she creates Afro House and Afro Soul. Nasty C then told her he would love to hear her sing and offered her his email address so she could send through her music.
Nelly Noll later expressed hope that the encounter could eventually lead to a collaboration with the South African rapper.
Now, with “Ngithathekile” catching the attention of another major name in South African music, the singer’s momentum appears to be building beyond Eswatini’s borders.
Kelvin Momo, whose real name is Thato Kelvin Ledwaba, is regarded as one of the key figures behind the Private School Amapiano sound, blending Amapiano with jazz, deep house and lounge influences. His 2020 debut album, Momo’s Private School, helped establish the signature sound that has become synonymous with his name.
From a Luju stage to Nasty C’s inbox and now Kelvin Momo’s public approval, Nelly Noll is steadily turning moments into musical possibilities.
