LOBAMBA – King Misizulu officially introduced his bride-to-be, Princess Sihle Mdluli, before Their Majesties and the nation during the Umhlanga (Reed Dance) held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence on September 8, 2025.
The colourful ceremony, attended by thousands of maidens presenting their reeds to the Queen Mother, was filled with song, dance, and pride in tradition. The King’s public declaration of love added a deeply personal and historic touch to the national celebration, blending cultural heritage with a hopeful vision for the future.
Umhlanga 2025 will be remembered not only as a showcase of Eswatini’s cultural pride but also as a celebration of unity, love, and continuity.
