MATSAPHA – Matsapha Police are appealing to members of the public who may have fallen victim to street robberies, housebreaking, theft and related crimes in Eteteni, Kwaluseni, Mfabantfu and Ludzeludze areas to urgently visit the station to identify recovered property and open formal cases.
This follows the arrest of a suspect who is currently in police custody and facing charges linked to a series of criminal activities in the mentioned areas. Authorities say a large number of items were recovered from the suspect, raising strong indications that there could be several unidentified victims.
Among the recovered property are mobile phones, footwear and other personal belongings believed to have been stolen during various incidents. Police say the volume and variety of the items suggest the suspect may have operated over a wider period and possibly across multiple locations.
Members of the public are encouraged to come forward and assist in identifying these items. This will help link the property to rightful owners and strengthen ongoing investigations.
The call also extends to individuals who may not have officially reported cases of robbery or housebreaking, as some victims could have been targeted without their knowledge of the suspect’s arrest.
Authorities have emphasized that cooperation from the public is crucial in ensuring that all victims are accounted for and that justice is served.
Matsapha Police have assured the public that all procedures will be handled with confidentiality and due care as victims come forward to identify their belongings and assist in the investigation process.
