MBABANE- As the curtain falls on the 2024/25 MTN Premier League season, Mbabane Highlanders Football Club has issued a heartfelt end-of-season statement, marking the conclusion of an exhilarating chapter in Eswatini football. The season, which ran from September 15, 2024, to May 25, 2025, was hailed as one of the most smoothly organized in recent years a testament to the Premier League of Eswatini’s commitment to elevating the sport’s profile and professionalism.

Mbabane Highlanders extended warm congratulations to Nsingizini Hotspurs for clinching their first-ever league championship. This historic victory was celebrated as a shining example of how dedication, teamwork, and strategic planning can lead to success. The Highlanders’ statement praised the Hotspurs’ achievement, recognizing it as an inspiration to all clubs and supporters across the nation.
Reflecting on the Highlanders’ Season
For Mbabane Highlanders, the 2024/25 season was a journey marked by challenges but also significant progress. Despite a rocky start losing six of their first thirteen matches and earning only 13 points the team demonstrated remarkable resilience in the second half of the campaign. The Highlanders improved their performance, securing 20 points from the final thirteen matches with five wins, five draws, and only three losses. This uplift raised their average points per match from 1.0 in the first half to 1.5 in the latter half, signaling a positive trajectory.
The club’s leadership expressed immense pride in the players, management, and especially the loyal supporters who continued to fill stadiums and travel extensively to back the team during a difficult phase. This unwavering support was acknowledged as a cornerstone of the club’s ongoing revival.
