NCABANENI – The final journey of Mlamuli Nkambule was marked by love, unity, and respect as thousands of mourners gathered at Ncabaneni to bid farewell to the talented Manzini Wanderers captain who passed away last Tuesday.
Family members, friends, teammates, supporters, and community members came together to celebrate the life of the gifted midfielder affectionately known as “Mlaba,” whose contribution to football and society touched many lives across Eswatini.
The emotional ceremony reflected not only grief but also appreciation for the positive impact he made during his lifetime.
Mlaba was laid to rest at Ncabaneni beside his mother, who passed away in 2017, a moment that deeply moved mourners and symbolised his final return home.
Throughout the funeral service, speakers highlighted his discipline, leadership, and passion for football, describing him as a humble and dedicated captain who inspired young players and uplifted his teammates both on and off the field.
Teammates from Manzini Wanderers praised his commitment and fighting spirit, saying his leadership helped build unity within the team an motivated players to work hard and believe in themselves.
Community members also shared messages of comfort and hope, encouraging the family to remain strong while remembering the positive legacy he leaves behind.
The large turnout at Ncabaneni showed the respect and admiration Mlaba earned through his character, talent, and service to football. His life was celebrated as one that brought people together and strengthened unity within the football community.
Though he is gone, Mlaba’s legacy of dedication, humility, and passion will continue to inspire future generations of footballers in Eswatini.
